Mr. Harper turns 99!
Our neighbor turned 99 years old yesterday! We went to his house to wish him another Happy Birthday. This is a man who when we first met him, lived alone and made his own bread and strawberry jam, who listened to classical music and walked daily to the store to buy his groceries.
My daughter practiced piano at his house for years and all the neighbor kids love to get a cookie from him.
His body is failing him now but his mind is still good. He is a joy to our family.
